Yeah, I’ve done some 4D speedsolving. I have a 10:19 on the 3x3x3x3 and 2:32 on the 2x2x2x2. I haven’t tried bigger cubes yet.
My 3x3x3x3 speed method:
- Solve 17 2-color pieces (all but the top layer and one in the middle layer) intuitively
- Insert almost all bottom-layer 3-color pieces one at a time, then solve the rest of the 2-color pieces
- Solve remaining 3-color pieces with commutators
- Solve all 4-color pieces with commutators
My 2x2x2x2 speed method:
- Orient the first layer, i.e. solve the bottom face
- Orient the top layer, i.e. solve the top face
- Permute the first layer, similar to 2x2x2 solving
- Permute the second layer
