Melinda’s 2x2x2x2 Rubik’s Pocket Cube in four dimensions has so far received at least nine nominations for inclusion in the Toy Hall of fame. If enough members of this group also add their nominations, there is a reasonable chance it will be inducted.

It is probably important that each nomination emphasizes 1) Innovation and 2) Discovery. Members of this group should have no problem finding creative new ways to express these aspects of a physical object that parallels a fourth dimension.
Selection Criteria
· Icon-status: the toy is widely recognized, respected, and remembered.
· Longevity: the toy is more than a passing fad and has enjoyed popularity over multiple generations.
· Discovery: the toy fosters learning, creativity, or discovery through play.
· Innovation: the toy profoundly changed play or toy design. A toy may be inducted on the basis of this criterion without necessarily having met all of the first three.

Since Melinda’s 2x2x2x2 cube is likely unknown by the induction committee, the strategy of building a mental picture through many nominations seems best.
