Is that puzzle exist in 2D using magnets, telescopic rods, double connectors (like Abyss hypercube or Houlis 16-cell)? And is its 3D analogue exist?

I can’t make a better quality video, each circle represent a cubic part, and circles are linked to one another by magnets.
