Yes, that will be very cool! I will make the STL model this evening, which
will be quick since I already have code to load your VRML file.

I don’t know how close they’ll let us engrave toward the edges, but we can
ask them to get as close as possible and see how it goes! They’ve started
sending proofs before they actually engrave anything, so it should be easy
to look at that and decide if the effect you’re describing will work well
or not.
