Several thousand twists are far to much for the animated presentation of permutation puzzle solutions. Especially with in MagicTile where the twists are very beautifull (an acceleration is not possible but also not wishable). In this context I try some thing else: animated GIF’s with the tiny programm Unfreez (together with screen captures). You can chose only frames where you have got a progress. You can eventually even mark the progressing places. I started with big pictures for quality but this gives rapidly several MB files. So I will try smaller pictures. This way to present should allow to show the fingerprint of your solutions (strategy).
