Deleting the settings file fixed the flashing; thanks.

Using the default settings, the trippy animation I mentioned is extra beautiful. Steps:

1.. Maximize window
2.. Puzzle > Hemi-Dodecahedron > length 5
3.. Scramble > 40
4.. Options > Solve

This is your mind on drugs.

Sorry to hear about the flashing - that sounds unpleasant! I’ll plan to add a settings reset button, but you can delete the properties file manually in the mean time. It is stored in one of the windows directories for per-user application data. There are ‘local’ and ‘roaming’ application data directories, and it is the roaming one. On my Win7 machine, the file to delete is ‘C:\Users\roice\AppData\Roaming\magictile\magictile.settings’. Let me know if you have any trouble finding it.

Thanks for the other suggestions too! I have added all of them to my running list.
