Congratulations on your solution. :-)

I had posted my 588-move solution to 2^4 some time ago. I solved on
July 2, 2004. At the time, we reached loose consensus not to track
these. Anyway, you’ll have to beat 588 to get the shortest record. I
didn’t try that hard to optimize my solution for shortness, so it may
not be that hard to beat it.
